Serbia creates music, as part of the national platform Serbia creates of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, by unanimous decision of all members of the European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE) – it became a full member of this prestigious Association of European offices for the export and promotion of music.

The umbrella and non-profit platform EMEE is composed of as many as 32 national and regional music export offices from 27 European countries, which within this developed network mutually exchange assistance in the form of financing, capacity building of the music industry and training, business advice, but above all internationally networking and implementation of business support programs. By entering this kind of network of partners, the Serbia Creates Music platform can present and promote the Serbian music scene internationally and at the same time promote Serbia in the light of a modern and creative country.

“The international flow of music plays a key role in preserving cultural diversity around the world.” In addition, the movement and flow of music (including its creators, performers and audiences) across borders creates a number of significant sources of income for national music industries, i.e. music exports. In this context, we are happy that the platform Serbia is being created has joined the network of our members, because we are gaining an important partner in this country, with whom we can work together to support this process in this part of Europe”, points out Tamara Kamińska, EMEE General Secretary.

The membership of the platform Serbia creates music in EMEE is a logical result of numerous significant successes that, in a very short period of time, the platform achieved on the international level. First of all, in the promotion of the Serbian music scene, which enabled and realized numerous performances of our artists within various festival formats. At the same time, the platform is recognized by international organizations as a relevant partner in Serbia, whose mission is to support young musicians and promote our musical talents in the world.

The implementation of the first national music competition SERBIA CREATES: The Spotlight stands out as a very successful project, within which the best-ranked young musicians in the last three months have already performed more than 35 performances at 15 of the most famous domestic and regional music festivals. Since the contest was realized in cooperation with the most important actors of the entire music scene, the intention of the platform is clear to provide systematic and effective support to young talents of Serbia.
