Project MetaHuman at the Kikinda National Museum until March 16th

The project “Prehistoric MetaHuman” – a digitally revived man who really lived in Lepenski Vir 10,000 years ago, will be on display until March 16 for the visitors of the National Museum in Kikinda. All visitors to the exhibition will become part of the scientific and digital revolution, since it is an innovative project of Serbian scientists and innovators, implemented with the support of the national platform Serbia Creates, presented to the world public for the first time at the Expo 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai.

This project, for the first time in history, faithfully depicted the digital face of a prehistoric man from Lepenski Vir, animated and brought to life with the help of the top Metahuman technology, developed in Serbia. A group of scientists and innovators from Serbia, headed by professor from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade Sofija Stefanović, first made a realistic 3D model of the skull of a prehistoric man based on the analysis of excavated bones, and then with the help of the top MetaHuman technology developed by the domestic gaming company 3lateral from Novi Sad (part of Epic games) and Unreal Engine software – prehistoric man virtually brought to life. As part of the presentation of the project, a conversation with Professor Stefanović is also planned.

Ana Ilić, Senior Advisor to the President of the Government of Serbia for Creative Industries and Tourism, who leads the team of the national platform Serbia Creates, points out that the Metahuman project is an incredible combination of science and the gaming industry, which will have a great impact in many other branches of creative industries in the future.

This is exactly the mission that Serbia is creating – development and support of multidisciplinarity, cooperation in the field of innovation and creative industries, support for talents, but also the presentation of Serbia in the world as a modern and innovative country,” she stated.

The MetaHuman exhibition will be accompanied by additional activities in the form of workshops and lectures, and since the official opening of the exhibition in early February in Kikinda, more than 450 visitors have seen the exhibition.
