The crown of all Serbian activities at the Expo 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai will be the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Serbia – February 15, which will be marked by a rich cultural, artistic and business program aimed at presenting economic, technological, innovation, investment and tourist potentials of our country.

The results of Serbia’s appearance at the World Exhibition so far have long exceeded original expectations, said Ana Ilić, senior adviser to the Serbian Prime Minister for creative industries and tourism and Deputy Commissioner General of Serbia for EXPO 2020 Dubai.

Rich cultural program, on the National Day of Serbia

“Serbia has already achieved impressive results, since the Serbian Pavilion has so far been visited by more than 700,000 visitors from all over the world. So far, more than 1,000 of our business persons, who have made more than 6,000 business contacts with potential partners, have presented themselves within the business program implemented by the Government of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Serbian Development Agency. I am proud that we managed to break the myth that a “small” country like Serbia cannot match big countries and that we presented ourselves to the whole world as a modern, creative and innovative country. Indeed, we have so many things to be proud of, and the National Day of Serbia at the Expo – February 15, will be the crown of our entire appearance in Dubai,” says Ilić.

Moving from the imposing Al Wasl Hall to the Serbian Pavilion, the evening part of the program will give the opportunity to the guests from all continents to enjoy the dynamic sounds created by maestro Petar Marić, eight-time world champion in electric accordion and a concert of film music “Balkan Film Acoustic” performed by actress Jelena Gavrilović and Aleksandra Marković.
